How much will it cost?

There is never a cost for an initial consultation.  If you should decide to enter into a professional relationship with Jackson Financial Group, the cost for planning will vary based on the scope of the work and/or investments provided.  This will be discussed in depth at the initial consultation.

What can I expect when working with Jackson Financial Group?

When you work with Jackson Financial Group, you are the focus of the financial planning relationship and your needs drive the financial recommendations.  Only after a thorough evaluation of your entire financial situation is complete are recommendations and/or alternatives presented.  This broad-based approach to financial advice distinguishes the professionals at Jackson Financial Group from other individuals who focus only on one area of a person’s financial life and/or sell only one product or service.

Aren’t all financial planners “certified”?

No.  Anyone can call himself a financial planner, but only those who have fulfilled the certification and renewal requirements of the CFP Board can display the CFP® certification marks.  As more people call themselves “financial planners,” finding the right professional to address your financial planning needs is important.

What are the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification requirements?

  • Education.  CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™  practitioners complete a comprehensive course of study at a college or university offering a financial planning curriculum approved by the CFP Board.
  • Examination.  CFP® must pass a comprehensive two-day, 10 hour exam that tests their knowledge of the financial planning process, tax planning, employee benefits and retirement planning, estate planning, investment management and insurance.
  • Experience. CFP® must have 3 years minimum experience in the financial planning process prior to earning the right to use the CFP® certification marks.
  • Ethics.  CFP® agree to abide by a strict code of professional conduct.  The CFP Board also performs a background check and each individual must disclose and investigations or legal proceedings related to their professional or business conduct.
  • Ongoing Requirements.  Once certified, CFP® practitioners are required to maintain technical competence and fulfill ethical obligations.  Every two years, they must complete a minimum 30 hours of continuation to stay current with developments in the financial planning profession.
